| It was one of the first woodblock illustration magazines, along with "Shin Zuan". It is unclear to what extent Kamisaka Sekka who was involved in the editing of Kyoto Bijutsu Kyokai Zasshi and Kyoto Bijutsu, was involved in this project, but the method of collecting and editing monthly prizes was very original, and was indeed a unique idea in the capital of arts and crafts. | |
